Our story

"Christmas morning 2010, two hundred of us sat in a warehouse in North End and said: let's build a church that builds a city."

Pastor George Georgiou planted Father's House fifteen years ago after a decade as a student pastor at Nelson Mandela University. What started as a warehouse service has become a multi-site family across Mandela Bay, Kariega and George.

We're charismatic, non-denominational, and genuinely proud to be from here. Our mission has never moved: to awaken the world to the gift of salvation by grace; to express our faith and freedom in every sphere and season.

Meet our pastor

Fifteen years in, still showing up at 09h00.

Pastor George has been preaching the same message since he planted this church — that grace is more extravagant than we can hold, and that ordinary Tuesdays are where faith actually lives. Thirty-four years after his first sermon as a student at NMU, he's still in the sanctuary before the music starts, making coffee with whoever got there early.

On a Sunday morning you'll find him walking the foyer, praying with the family who just walked in, and reminding everyone that they're home.
